Program Management of a Multi-type Helicopter Flight Simulator with interchangeable cockpits and with an international supplier network:
  • This program entailed the development and fielding of a helicopter simulator intended to serve the training needs for two different helicopters on a common platform and visual system. The design of this simulator implies the development of the technology necessary to enable the exchange of two cockpits as dictated by the training needs of the operator.  The project involved the management and coordination of several suppliers from North America and Europe.
Modification and Certification of Learjet 36A for special missions :
  • This project involved the definition, design, modification, flight testing and certification of a Learjet 36A for carriage and operation of a proprietary sensor. The new platform was flying and acquiring test and calibration data within 14 months from executive approval, on budget. We were privileged to provide all Program Management, System Engineering, Flight Testing Definition and Execution, and Certification Management functions for this highly complex platform.

Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) approval for highly modified Learjet 36A

  • In parallel with the development and certification of a highly modified Learjet 36A for special missions, we instituted a one-of RVSM program and obtained Operational Approval within 3 months from releasing this complex platform for its test and calibration phase of the original modification program.

Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) in an aeronautical design and production environment :

  • We provided leadership and management of the Program Management and System Engineering modules related to the deployment of BaaN as an ERP system and of CMMI as an integrated design, development, and manufacturing model for a major aeronautical company. This project was also integrating several design and manufacturing facilities in five different countries.

Development and initial implementation of a Technical Airworthiness structure for a military customer :

  • A military customer initiated the development and deployment of an internal Airworthiness Organization. We contributed to the development and the deployment of the airworthiness structure and processes, of the development of the management and audit procedures, and of the accreditation and audit procedures of the customer’s services providers.

Leadership/management from design through certification for several projects involving various aircraft systems (flight controls, landing gears, ECS, avionics, EFIS, etc) on different aircraft types.

  • As part of the aircraft manufacturer’s design and production organization of these aircraft, provided leadership and management of numerous programs aimed at improving the reliability and maintainability of various on-board systems on in-service aircraft. These improvements were consistently delivered while maintaining the intrinsic safety of the original design and within the original Type Certification.
